As a remnant of Mesoamerican civilization, the sun stone is a sculpted artifact of Xochimilco that now resides in the Museo Nacional de Antropología of Mexico City. This calendar not only honors the sun, but it also reveals the concerns of early civilizations carving time, cosmogony, and interpersonal ideologies into existence for our current societies to ponder.
